University Courses
This program is intended to prepare maintenance technicians and management companies for the safe handling of low GWP (Global Warming Potential) refrigerants, including those that are flammable and mildly flammable. ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆÁ University will break down the EPA Toxicity and Flammability Chart, along with environmental considerations.
Our hands-on program provides students with the skills and experience to service all major appliances, from washing machines and dryers, to ranges and refrigerators. This class will involve Tear down and Trouble Shooting.
Learn terms, parts and applications along with circuits, protection devices and how to test each of these components. Switched outlets, 3 and 4 way switch circuits and GFI circuits will be clearly explained. Basic and advanced troubleshooting techniques will be covered.
ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆÁ University is an approved provider of the PHTA (NSPF) CPO certification. This 2-day course covers filtration systems, chemistry, sanitation, maintenance, State & Federal regulations, liability and risk management, and more.
The Federal EPA Section 608 Certification is required for anyone who services air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Only certified technicians may purchase any regulated refrigerant. (Study prior to this class is required.)
